With over 16 years in the commercial real estate industry, Scott Derrick serves as SCI's
Chief Investment Officer, identifying and pursuing real estate opportunities nationwide in
the retail, office and multi-family categories and targets those investments that offer
optimal return.
Mr. Derrick has lead the acquisition of over $1.5 Billion in property since
2004, from such companies as Archstone, Equity Residential, Regency Centers,
Trammell Crow, Sentinel, American Campus Communities, AMH, Embry Partners,
Fairfield Residential, and Amli, enhancing both SCI's and its investors' portfolios.
In addition to his role in acquisitions, Scott has placed investor equity with SCI as well as
developing joint venture partnerships for the company. Mr. Derrick is an executive with
SCI affiliate companies, SCI Real Estate Inc., and SCI Capital Group, LLC, serving as
President and Chief Investment Officer respectively.
Mr. Derrick was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the National Multi-Family Housing Council.
Previous to joining SCI's Acquisition Group, Scott was a top performing agent for CB Richard Ellis, Rodeo Realty of Beverly Hills and Prudential California Realty. Prior to his career in
commercial real estate, Scott provided funding for the entertainment industry, raising in
excess of $100,000,000 capital for various projects for cinema, television, and music
