Baxter Scruggs Managing Partner San Diego Mortgage Network Baxter Scruggs is a managing partner with San Diego Mortgage Network. San Diego Mortgage Network is a full service residential mortgage company providing purchase, refinance, and 1031 exchange financing for single family homes, condominiums and 2 to 4 unit properties in the western United States. Baxter started in the mortgage banking industry in 1985 when he provided permanent financing for large tract builders in San Diego, Riverside and Orange counties. He went on to manage a 30 person office for Commonwealth Mortgage, a nationwide lender, and his branch won many national awards from the company, including “Branch of the Year,” numerous times. Prior to working at Commonwealth, he began his career with General Electric Mortgage (GECC), as a commercial loan packager and business development assistant. Baxter has spoken at numerous industry related events, trade shows and conferences, is a frequent guest expert on The Exeter Group Real Estate Talk Radio Show on World Talk Radio and is a frequent contributor on the Exeter Discussion Board. Baxter graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors degree in Economics, and a Bachelors degree in Political Science. He holds a California Real Estate Brokers License, is an active real estate investor, and he is currently working through The Strategic Coach entrepreneur coaching program, to develop unique processes and products to better serve his clients.
