William Mejia is the Southeast Regional Manager for The Exeter Group of Companies, including Exeter 1031 Exchange Services, LLC, Exeter Fiduciary Services, LLC, Exeter IRA Services, LLC and their affiliate companies.  Mr. Mejia is based in the company's Southeast Regional Office located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

William Mejia has spoken extensively on 1031 Exchange transactions pursuant to Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code, and Tenant-In-Common (TIC) and Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) investment properties as like-kind replacement property solutions for 1031 Exchange transactions pursuant to IRS Revenue Procedure 2002-22 and Revenue Ruling 2004-86.

Professional Experience — Timcor Exchange Corporation

Prior to joining The Exeter Group of Companies William M. Mejia began his 1031 Exchange career in 2002 as an accounting executive at the Los Angeles Headquarters of TIMCOR Exchange Corporation.  In 2004 he was assigned the challenge of opening TIMCOR Exchange’s first regional office on the East Coast that was eventually located in Florida.

Mr. Mejia moved his family to Weston, Florida and as the Senior Regional Manager of WAMU 1031 Exchange (formally, TIMCOR 1031 Exchange) he strategically organized the Spanish Speaking Services Division for TIMCOR Exchange as well as managed all Southeast operations, including sales and marketing.

William was also responsible for translating the TIMCOR website to serve Hispanic clients in the United States as well as all marketing collateral into Spanish in order to drive TIMCOR Exchange into the leader of the Hispanic market for 1031 exchanges.  William brings years of experience speaking and lecturing about 1031 exchanges to investors and real estate professionals in both English and Spanish.

In his 30+ years of experience, Mr. Mejia has worked in several large International financial institutions primarily in the manufacturing sector, with experience in the marketing, sales and financial area as well.

Education and Certifications

William Mejia is an economist from the New Granada Military University in Bogota, Colombia and obtained his M.B.A. in corporate management from Andes University.
