Frances L. Buerman is a Certified Exchange Specialist and Branch Manager for Exeter 1031 Exchange Services, LLC and its affiliate companies and works out of the company's Midwest Branch Office located in Chicago, Illinois.   Fran has day-to-day management responsibility for business development, educational program delivery, and client relationship management for the Mid-West Region. 

With more than 25 years of experience as an award-winning leader in multi-site real estate operations, Fran Buerman’s experience and expertise in 1031 Exchange services and escrow services have added substantial value to industry notables such as First American Title Insurance, its subsidiary First American Exchange Corporation, and Chicago Deferred Exchange Corporation. Currently, she leverages her skill in client investment portfolio management as an independent consultant and educator.

Fran began her career in the real estate industry with Chicago Title Insurance Company in Illinois.  She held positions as Transaction Coordinator, Closer and Commercial Escrow Assistant before her transition into 1031 Exchange Administration with Chicago Title's affiliate Security Trust Company, later known as Chicago Deferred Exchange Corporation, Chicago, Illinois.

Fran relocated to San Diego and through her dedication to her clients' success and commitment to the company's increased performance was later promoted to Assistant Vice President and Manager of the 1031 Exchange Department, where she continued to develop relationships with clients as well as develop the talents of her team members to ensure the utmost in client transactional success.

Frances joined First American Exchange Company in 2000 to Manage it's San Diego , California operation.  In 2002, Frances was promoted to President of First American Exchange Company of California, and immediately began to set the foundation for the company’s continued success and advancement.  During this time, she was selected to lead the relocation of four business offices ? a challenge she met head-on.

Her unparalleled attention to detail and the ability to collaborate across boundaries led to the transition to Senior Vice President and National Operations Manager, where she provided assistance to 32 1031 Exchange operations across the United States.

Frances has been honored for her contributions on multiple occasions due to her success in championing best practices and integrity, and consistency in achieving measurable value and profit performance, including the 2005 Excellence in the Real Estate Industry award awarded by the Society of Exchange Counselors (SEC).

Fran possesses an Illinois Real Estate Salesperson’s license, Life and Health Insurance licenses and is a graduate of the University of San Diego’s paralegal program. 

She is actively involved in a number of professional organizations such as the prestigious Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and Women's Council of Realtors® (WCR). She has had affiliations with real estate organizations such as the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors®, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (Naiop) and Certified Commercial Investment Membership (CCIM).   Currently Fran is furthering her education to obtain her Illinois Real Estate Broker's license, as well as pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management at the University of Phoenix.

She is involved with numerous professional organizations including, Society of Exchange Counselors, and the Federation of Exchange Accommodators.
